Head Sail. New in 2001 tri cut on new roller furling with blue UV protection, triple sets of 2 pairs of tell tales. All sheets and halyards are led to the cockpit. Area: 252.2 sq. ft. Main Sail. Heavy sailcloth, 4 reefing points, multi point reefing gear, full battens, bat cars, and all lines lead to the cockpit. This boat is easy to single-hand. Area: 214.5 sq. ft. .

Performance. A combined area of 466.7 sq. ft on a light boat with narrow canoe shaped hulls and good sail control results in a fast boat. She beats at under 45 degrees at surprising speeds producing under 50 degree true courses. 10 knots of air produces over 5 knots on the GPS. 15 knot breezes on a reach results in double-digit speed and all the fun of sailing the famous tris of Farrier. We sailed almost all day recently dead downwind with the wind instrument reading 5 – 6 knots and the GPS slightly over 5 knots. Without a spinnaker or screecher. That was with over 2000 lbs of cruising gear. The bottom line is - this is a safe, strong, fully outfitted and provisioned cruising boat that is competitive with all but the very fastest.
